Small-batch wooden objects, made one piece at a time.

Meet Jim

Jackarick Woods is the work of Jim Richard, an independent woodworker creating bespoke wooden objects from his small studio in Barnes, London.

What started with a fascination for timber and the process of making has grown into a collection of considered, functional pieces, each one shaped by hand and made with the intention of lasting.

The Process

All the wood is hand selected, cutdown, shaped, sanded, polished and refined by Jim in his west London studio. Jim believes wood doesn't need much improvement. Its natural variation is what makes it beautiful.

The grain, knots, colour and texture of each piece are embraced as part of its character. Wherever possible, materials are selected for their individuality as much as their practicality.
